Casbah Sahara Natural Foods is a leading brand of all natural ethnic packaged foods. The company was purchased from its founder in 1998. Lake Pacific’s principals acquired Casbah in partnership with the Frontenac Company and the State of Wisconsin Investment Board. Casbah was sold to the Hain Celestial Group in 1999. The company was based near Oakland, CA. Our investors realized an IRR in excess of 30%.
